> THERAPEUTIC INDICATION
This medicine is for oral use.
Shake the sachet before use. You should pour the contents of the sachet into a glass and then add a small amount of drink (e.g. water, milk, fruit juice). Stir and drink it or have your child drink it immediately afterwards.
In addition, if you or your child has a fever of more than 38.5°C, you can improve the effectiveness of the drug treatment by taking the following steps
- Uncover yourself or your child,
- Drink or have your child drink,
- Do not stay or leave your child in a place that is too warm.
> DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
In children, it is imperative to respect the dosages defined according to the child's weight and therefore to choose an adapted presentation. The approximate ages according to weight are given for information purposes.
The recommended daily dose of paracetamol is approximately 60 mg/kg/day, divided into 4 or 6 doses, i.e. approximately 15 mg/kg every 6 hours or 10 mg/kg every 4 hours.
DOLIMEX Sachets 200 mg
For children weighing 11 to 16 kg (about 18 months to 5 years), the dosage is 1 sachet per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 sachets per day.
For children weighing 17 to 20 kg (about 4 to 7 years), the dosage is 1 sachet per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 sachets per day.
For children weighing 21 to 25 kg (about 6 to 10 years), the dosage is 2 sachets per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 8 sachets per day.
DOLIMEX Sachets 300 mg
For children weighing 16 to 24 kg (about 4 to 9 years old), the dosage is 1 sachet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 sachets per day.
For children weighing 25 to 30 kg (about 8 to 11 years), the dosage is 1 sachet per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 sachets per day.
For children weighing 31 to 48 kg (about 10 to 15 years old), the dosage is 2 sachets per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 8 sachets per day.
DOLIMEX Sachets 500 mg
For children weighing 27 to 40 kg (about 8 to 13 years), the dosage is 1 sachet of 500 mg per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 sachets per day.
For children weighing 41 to 50 kg (about 12 to 15 years), the dosage is 1 sachet of 500 mg per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 sachets per day.
In adults and children weighing more than 50 kg (from about 15 years old):
The usual unit dosage is 1 to 2 sachets of 500 mg per dose, to be renewed if necessary after a minimum of 4 hours.
DOLIMEX Sachets 1000 mg
In adults and children weighing more than 50 kg (from about 15 years old): the usual unit dosage is 1 sachet of 1000 mg per dose, to be repeated if necessary after at least 4 hours.
It is generally not necessary to exceed 3 g of paracetamol per day, i.e. 3 sachets per day.
However, in case of more intense pain, the maximum dosage can be increased to 4 g per day, i.e. 4 sachets per day.
Contact your pediatrician if your child’s symptoms get worse or do not improve.
