CO FLULIB® contains two medicines: salmeterol and fluticasone propionate.
Salmeterol is a long-acting bronchodilator. Bronchodilators help the airways in the lungs to stay open, making it easier for air to flow in and out. The effects last up to 12 hours.
Fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and irritation in the lungs. The doctor prescribes this medicine to help prevent breathing problems such as asthma. CO FLULIB® should be used daily as directed by your doctor. This will ensure that the medicine works properly to help control your asthma.
CO FLULIB® helps to stop shortness of breath and wheezing. However, CO FLULIB® should not be used to relieve a sudden attack of breathlessness or wheezing. In this case you should use a fast-acting "reliever" ("rescue") inhaler, such as salbutamol. You should always carry your fast-acting 'rescue' inhaler with you.

Always follow the dosage indicated by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Use CO FLULIB® daily until your doctor advises you to stop. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Do not stop CO FLULIB® and/or reduce the dose without first consulting your doctor. CO FLULIB® should be inhaled orally into the lungs.

CO FLULIB® 250 - 2 sprays twice a day

Children from 4 to 12 years old

CO FLULIB® 50 - 2 sprays twice a day
CO FLULIB® is not recommended for children under 4 years of age.

Using CO FLULIB® twice a day may help to control your symptoms. If necessary, your doctor may decide to reduce the dosage to one spray per day. The dosage may be :
Once in the evening if you have night-time symptoms,
Once in the morning for daytime symptoms.
You should follow your doctor's instructions regarding the number of sprays and the frequency.
If you are using CO FLULIB® for asthma, your doctor will want to check your symptoms regularly. Tell your doctor immediately if your asthma or breathing gets worse. Your breathing may become more wheezy, and you may feel chest tightness more often, and you may need to use your fast-acting 'reliever' inhaler more regularly.  If you experience these symptoms continue to take CO FLULIB® but do not increase the number of sprays. Your breathing problems may be getting worse and you could be seriously ill. Consult your doctor as your condition may need further treatment.
