Dosage
Adults and children of 40 kg or more
This suspension is generally not recommended for adults and children weighing 40 kg or more.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Children weighing less than 40 kg
All doses are based on the child’s weight in kilograms.

• Your doctor will tell you how much CLAVUMOCCID to give your baby or child.
• A graduated plastic syringe may be provided. You should use it to give the correct dose to your baby or child.
• Usual dose: 40 mg/5 mg to 80 mg/10 mg per kg of body weight per day, in three doses.

Patients with kidney and liver problems

• If your child has kidney problems, a reduction in dose may be necessary. The doctor may prescribe a different dosage or another medicine.
• If your child has liver problems, more frequent blood tests may be needed to check the functioning of the liver.

How do I administer CLAVUMOCCID?

Always shake the bottle before each use.

• Give your child this medicine at the beginning of a meal or shortly before.
• Take it evenly throughout the day, at least 4 hours apart.
• Do not give 2 doses in 1 hour.
• Do not give CLAVUMOCCID to your child for more than 2 weeks. If your child’s symptoms persist, consult a doctor again.
• Prescription medicine. Ask your doctor for advice.

Mebandazole is an anthelmintic active on gastrointestinal infestations by cestodes and nematodes such as: Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm), Ascaris lumbricoides (nematode), Trichuris trichiura (whipworm), Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus (hookworms), Strongyloides stercoralis (anguillula), Taenia saginata and Taenia solium (tapeworms).

Dosage and method of administration
Oral use

1. Oxyurosis (Enterobius vermicularis infestation) :
Adults and children
5 ml of drinkable suspension. Repeat treatment after 2-4 weeks.
In case of pinworm infection, treat all family members over 1 year of age simultaneously.

2. Ascariasis, trichuriasis, hookworm and mixed infestations:
Adults and children
5 ml of oral suspension in the morning and evening for three days.

3. Taeniasis in strongyloidiasis:
Adults: 2 measures of 5 ml of oral suspension morning and evening for three days.
Children: 5 ml of oral suspension in the morning and evening for three days.

CARBEN treatment does not require any special diet or laxatives.

Dosage
The dosage is determined by your doctor according to the child’s weight.
The dose to be administered must be taken with the syringe for oral administration graduated in kilograms (graduation every half kilogram).

Under 25 kg: the daily dosage is variable according to the child’s weight (20 mg/kg/d). The weight indicated corresponds to the dose for one intake. For example, the scale 15 on the syringe corresponds to the dose to be administered for a child of 15 kg.
WARNING: From 25 kg and above: in all cases, the daily dosage is fixed and must not exceed the scale « 25 kg = max dose/per day » on the syringe.

The treatment takes place over 3 days with only 1 dose per day.
One bottle corresponds to the 3 days of treatment.
Strictly comply with your doctor’s prescription.
If you feel that the effect of AZITRINE 40 mg/ml, powder for oral suspension is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Method and route of administration

Oral administration.
The graduated syringe provided is specific for AZITRINE 40 mg/ml, powder for oral suspension.
The oral suspension can be administered with or without meals.
Do not administer the oral suspension until it has been reconstituted.

Instructions for the reconstitution and administration of the drug :
Reconstitution of the oral suspension

1. SHAKE the bottle vigorously to loosen the powder from the bottom.
2. OPEN the vial.
3. FILL the bottle with water to the indicated mark.
4. CLOSE the bottle with the cap.
5. SHAKE the bottle vigorously several times until a homogeneous suspension is obtained.

Administration of the drug
1. SHAKE the oral suspension before each dose.
2. OPEN the cap of the bottle.
3. INSERT the oral syringe into the bottle.
4. INSPECT the dose prescribed by the physician with the oral syringe. It is graduated in kg. Thus, the weight indicated by the graduations corresponds to the dose for one intake.

• If the child weighs less than 25 kg: the daily dosage is variable according to the child’s weight (20 mg/kg/d).
  For example, the number 15 on the syringe corresponds to the dose for a child weighing 15 kg, and the number 20 on the syringe corresponds to the dose for a child weighing 20 kg.
• If the child weighs 25 kg or more: in all cases, the daily dosage is fixed (500 mg/day) which corresponds to the graduation « 25 kg = max dose/day » on the syringe.

5. REMOVE the oral syringe from the bottle and administer the medication to the child.
6. CLOSE the vial by screwing the cap on tightly.
7. RINSE the oral syringe with water after use and STORE it in the box.

CURAPEL est une crème contenant de la sulfadiazine d’argent, un agent antimicrobien à large spectre et le chlorhydrate de chitosane qui aide à la guérison des tissus blessés. CURAPEL est un médicament antimicrobien topique indiqué comme traitement adjuvant dans la prévention des infections et la cicatrisation des plaies septiques chez les patients présentant des brûlures au deuxième et troisième degré, des plaies superficielles ou des coupures.

POSOLOGIE ET MODE D’ADMINISTRATION

Posologie et mode d’administration

Appliquez CURAPEL 1 à 2 fois par jour, avec une épaisseur d’environ 3 mm. CURAPEL doit couvrir les zones brulées. Si nécessaire, la crème peut être appliquée à nouveau sur toutes les zones où elle est partie à cause de l’activité du patient.

Le traitement par CURAPEL doit être poursuivi jusqu’à une guérison satisfaisante ou jusqu’à ce que le lieu de la brûlure soit prêt pour une greffe. Le médicament ne doit pas être retiré du schéma thérapeutique alors qu’il reste une possibilité d’infection, sauf si un effet indésirable se produit.

Cefuroxime is an antibiotic used in adults and children. It works by destroying bacteria that cause infections. It belongs to a family of medicines called cephalosporins.
Cefuroxime is used to treat infections:

• urinary tract
• skin and soft tissue
• the abdomen

Cefuroxime is also used :

• to prevent infection during surgery.
  Your doctor may carry out tests to identify the type of bacteria causing your infection and check during your treatment whether the bacteria is sensitive to cefuroxime.

> DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Cefuroxime is usually given by a doctor or nurse. It can be given as a drip (intravenous infusion) or as an injection directly into a vein or muscle.

 Usual dose

Your doctor will decide on the appropriate dose of cefuroxime for you, depending on: the severity and type of infection, whether you are already being treated with other antibiotic(s), your weight and age, how well your kidneys are working.

Newborns (0-3 weeks)

For every 1 kg of the baby’s body weight, 30 to 100 mg of cefuroxime per day should be given in two or three doses.

Infants (over 3 weeks) and children
For every 1 kg of body weight of the baby or child, 30 to 100 mg of cefuroxime per day should be given in three or four doses.

Adults and adolescents
750 mg to 1.5 g cefuroxime per dose, two, three or four times daily. Maximum dose: 6 g per day.

Patients with kidney problems
If you have a kidney problem, your doctor may adjust your dose.
